"To exude a passion for effective and transforming communication that is shared with the surrounding community. Quote Masters will provide an encouraging and supportive environment where members' speaking and listening skills are enhanced, while building confidence and leadership."

In December of 2008, a handful of employees approached Ivonne Roca, Executive Vice President of HR for the Word & Brown Companies, with the idea of sponsoring a Toastmasters club.  With the professional reputation of Toastmasters International, it was a win-win proposal to establish Word & Brown’s very own corporate club.  As a result – Quote Masters began.

As Quote Masters began to excel with speech delivery and embrace the Toastmasters International proven communication program, the passion for effective communication grew.

Our Club Mentor, Jan Alesso, helped members get their feet wet, challenging participants to take on speeches in the Competent Communicator manual and to build leadership roles in the Competent Leadership manual.  She helped members learn how to follow an agenda for the weekly meetings, the importance of starting and ending on time and reinforced the value of the specific timing events within each agenda. Quote Masters was off to a great start!

As Quote Masters began to excel with speech delivery and embrace the Toastmasters International proven communication program, the passion for effective communication grew.  It soon became obvious to share this passion, not only on a corporate level, but to the community.  Thus, effective 10/5/10, Quote Masters transitioned from a corporate club to an open/community club.

Since then, Quote Masters is receiving members from different professions, from various life stages, and from diverse goal orientations.  New ideas are being organized, from incorporating the Toastmasters training platform in corporate venues, to establishing a youth program to build confidence, leadership and presentation skills for the younger generation.

Come be part of the vibrant Quote Masters club and bring your own flavor of success.  Find out what it means to embrace our motto:  Real communication.  Real change.  Real difference.”
